I am an economist with more than 20 years of experience in economic research and teaching. My work focuses on macroeconomics, CGE and DSGE modelling, and empirical economic analysis.

In October 2026, I established S8IS as the brand for my independent work in economic impact analysis, based in Kiel, Germany. I assess how investments, policy measures, structural change and external shocks affect economies, industries and regions.

My professional background includes research and project leadership, externally funded research, peer-reviewed publications and communication of economic findings to wider audiences. Alongside my independent consulting work, I teach advanced macroeconomics as an adjunct professor at the Institute of Economics of Kiel University.
